My name is Nathan, and this year, an amazing group of my friends and I are starting Team CureSHANK to take on the Houston Marathon and Half Marathon for my older brother Charles, who has Phelan-McDermid syndrome. Growing up alongside Charles as he endured uncontrollable seizures and regression of his speech and other abilities has been heartbreaking. However, his incredible resilience has inspired myself and many others, and now, we’re stepping up to Race for Charles.
